Electronic online declaration of consent for the new General Data Protection Regulation at the Mediaprint publishing company

As a result of the new data protection regulation, MediaPrint is now relying on a fully automated solution to obtain a clear declaration of consent from its customers and prospects.

Employees at the MediaPrint telephone service line need a declaration of consent from their customers and prospects to contact them via various communication channels (telephone, e-mail, etc.).

The values of the declaration of consent (how and with what content the customer/prospect may be contacted) are taken from the CRM system and displayed on the customer’s or prospect’s personal mobile device (e.g. smartphone or tablet PC). With the signature, the customer/prospect confirms the declaration of consent, which is then stored in the CRM. Changes will be confirmed by the customer/prospect.

The solution was tested for compliance. It guarantees a clear, tamper-proof status in customer data management.

MediaPrint uses the web-based service “Software-as-a-Service” (SaaS) of the Kapsch KISS platform, so that a very short project processing time could be achieved.
